You can have all of your data permanently deleted at any time. Email hello@vakoza.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request" and we will erase it within 30 days and email you a confirmation. There is no charge.
Who this applies to
- Business owners who use Vakoza to run an AI receptionist.
- Customers / end-users who messaged, called, or booked with a business whose WhatsApp number is powered by Vakoza. Your WhatsApp messages and contact details are processed by us on that business's behalf, and you may request their deletion.
What we delete
- Account details — name, email, phone number.
- Your business/agent configuration (services, hours, settings).
- Appointment and booking records.
- WhatsApp and chat conversation data and the phone numbers we processed to answer messages.
- Any data we received from Meta / the WhatsApp Business Platform — WhatsApp Business Account identifiers, phone-number IDs, profile names, and message content.
How to request deletion
- Email hello@vakoza.com — ideally from the email linked to your account. If you are a customer of a business (not an account holder), email from any address and include the WhatsApp / phone number you used.
- Use the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
- Tell us what to delete — your entire account, or specific data — and include the phone / WhatsApp number so we can locate your records.
- We verify the request, permanently delete your data within 30 days, ask any sub-processors (e.g. our AI and messaging providers) to do the same, and email you a confirmation.
Immediate options
- Business owners: requesting account deletion removes your agent and all associated data. Disconnecting your WhatsApp number in your Meta Business settings stops all message processing by Vakoza immediately.
- Customers: you can also ask the business you contacted to remove your details; they can action it from their Vakoza dashboard.
WhatsApp / Meta data
Data we receive through the WhatsApp Business Platform (your WhatsApp number, profile name, and message content) is used only to operate the AI receptionist for the specific business you contacted. We never sell it and never use it for advertising. It is deleted on request, and also when the business disconnects its number or closes its Vakoza account. See our Privacy Policy for full detail.
